Loki is a handsome young Laborador with a shiny black coat and a spotted tongue. His original owner is in unstable circumstances as she tries to establish a new life outside of a domestically-abusive situation. It is her wish that her dog get the stability she is also seeking without going through the pain of constant transport, relocation, and shelter boarding (which he has already been subjected to repeatedly).
Loki came to us through a pet rescue railroad, whose goal is to unite pets estranged from their owners during domestic abuse-motivated separations. His name was "Rocky" but he didn't respond to it any more than he responded to any other words (like, for instance, "bacon"). So we decided to rename him in honor of his new start in life.
At about a year old, Loki shows a great deal of promise. He is bright, curious, and affectionate. He deserves a loving, stable home. Can he join yours?
